The Hidaka-higashi Agricultural Cooperative Association is a general agricultural cooperative focusing on the union members, handling all matters from moneylending to economic-related businesses.

In particular, the Association concentrates on breeding of thoroughbreds. The Hidaka region is the largest breeding area in Japan.
