1. Japanese Classics
The Japanese Classics are principal five races for three years olds listed herein.
NOTE: 2012 First Entry and Declaration: by noon, 28 October, 2011 (JPY 10,000)

2. Entry/Declaration
For the aforementioned five races of the Japanese Classics, it is necessary to forward entry and declarations (1st to 3rd declarations and final declaration to run) for each race to the JRA by the designated time.Entry and first declaration closing date is normally set at noon on the fourth Friday in October, Japan time. Second declaration closing date is normally set at noon on the fourth Friday in the following January, Japan time, if not withdrawn. For overseas horses selected to run by the JRA Selection Committee, third declaration must be made by the closing date, normally two weeks before the race. All declarations must be accompanied by relevant fees, lodged in the account of JRA (bank details below) by noon of each closing point.Declaration fees are non-refundable. Nomination/declaration form must be submitted each time by fax or by post to the address designated by JRA.

3. Supplementary Entry
Supplementary entry for overseas horses can be made for each of the aforementioned races by horses which were not previously entered, on the condition that the horse has made the nomination for supplementary entry by the closing date and be selected to run by the JRA Selection Committee.Closing date for the nomination for supplementary entry will be announced in due course but it is usually around 50 days before the races (free of charge). Nomination must be made by lodging the Supplementary Nomination form by fax or post to the address designated by JRA.Supplementary nominees selected to run must make supplementary entry and declaration (usually two weeks before the race), accompanied by relevant form and supplementary entry fee lodged in the account of JRA (bank details below) by no later than close of business of the week of the closing date. Supplementary entry fee is non-refundable.
4. Selection of Overseas Runners
Selection of overseas runners for each race will be assessed on their relative merits by the JRA Selection Committee, who will consider various relevant factors, such as international rating and record of G1 or G2 race at the time of closing of nomination for supplementary entry.
5. Applicants
Entries can only be made by the owner of the horse. First and second declaration can also be made by an owner who is not registered as horse owner by each authority. Third declaration or supplementary entry can only be lodged by the owner duly registered by JRA.
6. Qualification for Runners
2009 born thoroughbreds are only applicable. Geldings are not applicable. Entries for horses not registered as a racehorse by each authority at the time of closing of first and second declaration can also be accepted.
*Entry/First Declaration for 2010 born thoroughbreds close at noon on Friday, 26 October, 2012.
7. Completion of Declaration
Declaration for the race will be completed when first to third declarations has been made followed by the final declaration to run. Declaration fees are non-refundable.
8. Stakes Money
Total Declaration Fee will be distributed to the owners according to the following percentage,
2nd : 20%
3rd : 10%
9. Others
Further details and additional information not mentioned herein will be announced in due course.JRA reserves the right to postpone, transfer or vary the terms and conditions of any race under the Rules of Racing of JRA.
10. Payment to be made by the Owner

Payments must be remitted by bank transfer by each designated closing time. Please be sure that the payment is made in Japanese Yen. All bank charges and commissions (including paying bank charges) are to be paid by the owner.
