Weather: Fine    Going: Standard (dirt course)

Sahpresa (left), Immortal Verse (right)

Immortal Verse (IRE, F3, bay)

- walked about 600m, jogged about 800m, lightly cantered about 400m, and jogged about 1,400m on dirt course
(exercised from 6:24 AM to 6:52 AM, ridden by Nadege Ouakli)

"We arrived here at Kyoto from the quarantine stables yesterday and all went well. We kept her work load light this morning because of yesterday's long journey. She was a bit jumpy when we cut across the turf course and went into the dirt track for her workout, but afterwards she ate and drank well so there's nothing to worry about. Her future training and tune up menu will be decided according to the horse's condition and what the trainer wants us to do."

Sahpresa (USA, M6, bay)

- walked about 600m, jogged about 800m, lightly cantered about 400m, and jogged about 1,400m on dirt course
(exercised from 6:24 AM to 6:52 AM, ridden by Vincent Vion)

"The transportation yesterday went well without any problems. Last year, she lost a large amount of weight but this year it looks like we were able to avoid that. For the last two years she had to start from a wide stall, but this year we're hoping for a better draw. The horse will probably do some strong work on Wednesday or Thursday."
