Training Report of Foreign Entries
Queen Elizabeth II Commemorative Cup (G1)
November 9, 2011 (Wednesday)
<At Kyoto Racecourse>
Weather: Sunny Going: firm (turf course)
Dancing Rain (IRE, F3, chestnut)
- schooling (paddock), walked about 500m and cantered about 1,400m on turf course
(exercised from 7:25 AM to 7:35 AM, ridden by Maureen Haggas)
"We did a light canter on turf today. She looks very good and we're very pleased with her. She's growing stronger and better with every race, her previous race at Ascot being her best yet. I think the large and flat track at Kyoto Racecourse will suit her. She's in good form and we want her to be fresh on the race day, so we won't be doing any fast work before the race. Tomorrow, we'll canter her lightly as we did today. We'll do more light work, probably on dirt, on Friday and Saturday."

Snow Fairy (IRE, F4, bay)
- jogged about 1,900m, walked about 300m and cantered about 2,000m on turf course
(exercised from 7:05 AM to 7:23 AM, ridden by Kathryn Hanna)
"She cantered 10 furlongs today, and she's in good condition. Her average racing weight in Europe is 475 to 480kg, and she weighed 478kg after today's exercise. She's recovered well from the trip and is doing very well, so we're very pleased with her. We heard from the reporters that Snow Fairy will probably be the No. 1 favorite. Hopefully, she'll be the No. 1 winner! We will canter her again tomorrow as we did today, and depending on the weather and the ground, she'll probably have a blowout on Friday. It won't be too strong though, as she's already fit for the race."
