TRAINING REPORT
60th Running of the Yasuda Kinen (G1)

Training Report of Foreign Entries

June 5, 2010 (Saturday)

<at Tokyo Race Course>

BEAUTY FLASH (NZL, g5, chestnut)

- jogged 1/4 lap, cantered 3/4 lap (dirt course)
(exercised from 6:21 AM to 6:33 AM, ridden by Chung Hon Tse)

“We’ve done all the serious work in Hong Kong already, so today’s exercise was the same as usual and I’m happy with the horse. He’s the type that can go into the gate alone because he wants to race. We just want him to give his best.”

FELLOWSHIP (NZL, g8, bay)

- jogged 1/4 lap, cantered 3/4 lap (dirt course)
(exercised from 6:21 AM to 6:33 AM, ridden by Hau Lai Suen)

“I’m very happy with the horse. He’s quite calm. Physically, he’s very fit and there’s no reason why he won’t race very well. The barrier draw is a big help for him because he can make an economical run.
He does get a little wound up in the paddock, but as long as he can handle that, he’ll be okay.
Tomorrow morning, we’ll take him out to the track for some exercise.”

SIGHT WINNER (NZL, g7, bay)

- worked lightly in infield arena (approx. 10 min.), jogged on stretch, cantered 1-1/2 laps, lightly cantered 1/2 lap (dirt course)
(exercised from 6:22 AM to 6:45 AM, ridden by John Size)

“His actions were good this morning. He was moving freely. We moved a bit faster this morning, just trying to get a feel for him and to see if it’s okay. I’m satisfied with him, but I still hope for some rain to put the speed out of the track.
In tomorrow’s race, he probably won’t be in front, but he’ll be close to the lead.
I intend to take him out to the tracks tomorrow morning and to work him as we did today.”
