Bonus System for Japan Cup and Japan Autumn International Announced!

This year, the JRA will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Japan Cup, the oldest international invitational race around the globe. The JRA is again delighted to announce the bonus system for overseas horses running in the 30th Anniversary Japan Cup and the other three races of the Japan Autumn International. For overseas horses running in our Japan Autumn International races which have won, or in some races, placed second, in designated major championship races worldwide, the bonus will be awarded for finishing first, second or third in the Japan Autumn International Races. The Japan Autumn International will offer total prize money worth of over JPY 1.2 billion, or, US$ 13.3 million. The winner of the Japan Cup will receive JPY 250 million, and if the winner qualifies for the bonus conditions, the winner may receive up to JPY 380 million, or nearly US$ 4.2 million, including the bonus!!!

We trust that our international initiatives will be an incentive to travel to Japan, and we extend a very warm welcome to all the owners and trainers of horses in the international stage for our Japan Autumn International, which promises to be one of the major championship events in international horseracing.
