<at Nakayama Race Course>

PENTIFFIC (NZL, g7, dark bay or brown)

- schooled saddling area and paddock, cantered 1 lap, galloped 4 furlongs (along outer rail of main turf track) [timed: 4F: 59.5 – 44.2 – 13.9]
(exercised from 7:32 a.m. to 7:58 a.m., ridden by Trent Wells)

"He worked very well this morning and I'm very happy with him. Sometimes at home, he's a lazy worker but I think he was very observant during the schooling—I think he's enjoying his work. The steep hills here won't bother him because we always work him over hills at home—he's been educated on hills. He's won on both very firm and very wet surfaces, so whatever surface won't make much difference. We'll just have a quiet day tomorrow and get ready for the race."
