At Kyoto Racecourse

EVA'S REQUEST (IRE, f4, chestnut)

- walked appr.600m, jogged appr.200m, cantered appr.800m on dirt course, schooled through paddock
(exercised from 6:05 to 6:20, ridden by Amy Routledge)

"Since we did some strong work with her yesterday, this morning's training was light. I can feel that she's happy, which is a good sign. I wouldn't mind if it rains and softens the turf, nor if it stays the way it is now. She's breaking from stall no.1, so it would be ideal if she travels in third or fourth position, but racing up front wouldn't be such a bad idea either. I'm looking forward to the race."

SAHPRESA (USA, f4, bay)

- jogged appr.600m, lightly cantered appr.1,000m, jogged appr.800m, walked appr.400m, on dirt course
(exercised from 6:25 to 6:45, ridden by Vincent Vion)

"The horse is in good form, her condition and mood is good too. I'm very happy with the way her tune up went - exactly as planned. We were hoping for a gate 6 or 8, but we drew a 15, so I'm very disappointed with the JRA for that! Of course, it's a joke.

As a trainer, I've done everything possible up to now. I leave the race all up to Olivier whom I have total faith in."
