The Japan Autumn International will enter its second year since its inception. This year, to further enhance and encourage international participation, the JRA is delighted to introduce "new extra bonus system for overseas horses who have won major championship races worldwide. "We have been having this extra bonus system since 2003, bonus being awarded only to the winner of the Japan Cup and Japan Cup Dirt. Now, this extra bonus system will be awarded not only to the winner but also to "the second and third-place finishers" of all the Japan Autumn International races. The Japan Autumn International will offer total prize money worth of over JPY 1.2 billion, or, US$ 12.6 million. The winner of the Japan Cup will receive JPY 250 million, and if the winner qualifies for the extra bonus conditions, the winner may receive up to JPY 380 million, or nearly US$ 4 million, including the extra bonus!!!
