Trackwork at Shiroi Quarantine Center, Thursday 16th March

The Australian jumpers KARASI and MERLOS, both trained by Eric Musgrove, worked together on Thursday morning for about 20 minutes trotting a lap (1,400m) and cantering for two laps.
Musgrove said, "There is no problem with Karasi's health condition and he is ready for the Pegasus Jump Stakes. He can race anytime so he only needs light exercise. We neither have anything to worry about the condition of Merlos who is eating well."

Kevin Myers trained FONTERA from New Zealand had an exercise finishing his planned menu of trotting and cantering for half an hour. Assistant trainer Joanne Moss said, "He has a very good appetite and is healthy. He will be cantering and have some jumps tomorrow"

ANGE DE BEAUMONT, a 7 year-old French jumper trained by Yannick Fertillet, also trotted and cantered for half an hour. "His condition seems to be fine since his arrival yesterday. He is eating well and also drinking well since last night", track rider Alexandre Pillet said.
