The following horses from Hong Kong, who are scheduled to race in the Yasuda Kinen this Sunday (June 4), were transported from the Shiroi Quarantine Facilities, leaving at 10:12 this morning, arriving safely at the International stables of Tokyo Racecourse at 12:05. The comments of the connections upon arrival are as follows.

BULLISH LUCK (USA, g7. bay)

BULLISH LUCK

"Traveling is no big deal for this horse. He is amazingly tough when it comes to traveling. Once he returned to Hong Kong after racing in Dubai this March, this super horse stayed in his good form in April and even won the Champions Mile (HK G1) for two consecutive years after that. So we're not surprised that the trip to Japan has not affected him in any way, and everything has been done on schedule so far."
"I'm planning to mount him tomorrow morning to do some light training on the dirt. The trainer, Mr. Cruz, will arrive in Japan today and will come to the racecourse tomorrow morning. If everything goes as planned, we intend to gallop him using the starting gate on Thursday morning."
"His weight was 550kg this morning."

JOYFUL WINNER (AUS, g6. bay)

JOYFUL WINNER

"We are happy that his training went smoothly at Shiroi."
"The trainer is scheduled to arrive in Japan tomorrow afternoon. Whether we will gallop the horse on Thursday or Friday is up to him. Until I receive his instructions, I'll continue to do light training in the mornings."
"He weighed 476 kg this morning."

THE DUKE (AUS, g7. bay)

THE DUKE

"The trip from Shiroi was pretty smooth. He's gained back some of the weight he's lost during the transportation from Hong Kong, and he's eating well."
"We kept his workload very light while at Shiroi, and tomorrow will more or less be the same, using the dirt course. We're not exactly sure yet when we'll gallop him."
"The trainer, C. Fownes, arrives tomorrow and will be at the morning workout on Thursday. I don't know when the jockey and owner come to Japan."
"He weighed 513 kg this morning."
