THE 19TH CENTAUR STAKES (GIII)
GOLDEN CAST accomplished the feat of capturing the CENTAUR STAKES (GIII) title two years in a row and landing his first win of the season.
The race broke off with HOMAN TEQUILA immediately making his bid to set the pace. GOLDEN CAST followed a couple of lengths behind in second inside NAZO in third position. MARUKA KISEKI saved ground in mid field but never far from the pace.
HOMAN TEQUILA maintained his lead around the last corner and held on well until GOLDEN CAST caught up for duel on his outside in the last 100 meters dispossessing the lead by a neck. MARUKA KISEKI found his opportunity 300 meters out and accelerated well after switching to the outside, finishing another length behind in third place.
